Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop & TUTORIAL

Hey peeps.  Happy Friday.  Today is the start of the Spring Coffee Lovers blog hop. The hop goes live at 9:00am EST. I have a card and a tutorial for you.  My day begins and sometimes ends with coffee.  So of course I have to play in the blog hop every chance I get.

I used Simon Says Stamp's What's Brewing and Altenew's Coffee Talk stamp sets for my card today along with a stencil from The Crafter's Workshop. To finish off my card I add a strip of Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper and a few Tonic Studio Nuvo crystal drops.

Here's a quick tutorial on how this card came together.  Grab your cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and  enjoy.  You can watch it here on my blog or on my Youtube channel mzdanajoy.

Have a great weekend everyone. Make it a crafty one.

Lawn Fawn - Baked With Love

Hey peeps.  Back with a quick card. I felt the need to have some cupcakes but didn't want to have the calories on my hips. (LOL)  I pulled out my Lawn Fawn Baked With Love stamp set instead and totally didn't regret the calorie count.  Zero!!

I colored my image with Copic markers and pulled out my favorite Lawn Fawn plaid paper and twine to finish off my card.  Just a peek of a scalloped edge behind my plaid paper and images rounded out the sweet level.

Here's a closeup of the sweet card.  I think I feel a cavity coming on.  Nope just the urge to have another cupcake. ;-)

Have a great day everyone.  I'll see you back here soon!

Hero Arts - Grow Your Garden - Tutorial

Hey peeps.  Happy Monday.  Back in the stamp studio after a great week with my twin sister.  Thank you everyone for the great birthday wishes.  Today I have a quick card and a tutorial for you.  I'm still playing with the Hero Arts March kit.  This month's kit came with two stamp sets and a massive amount of die cuts.  I'm so excited to be playing with it all.

For my card I did some quick and easy stamping.  I made a background for my card panel using the largest carrot in the stamp set and quickly watercolored it with my Mission Gold watercolor paints. The colors I used where permanent yellow deep, yellow orange and sap green.

I used the My Favorite Things doubled stitched rectangles to cut out a rectangle in the center of my panel for some added interest. Popping up that panel really makes the sentiment stand out. I die cut out three smaller carrots for some embellishments.  And this card is done.

You can see how this card came together by watching my tutorial on my Youtube channel or right here on my blog.  So are you growing a garden?  If so what are you growing?

Have a great day everyone.  See you back here soon.

Happy Birthday To Me and My Twin - Instagram Giveaway

Hey hey peeps.  It's my birthday and I have the happy-happy joy-joy of spending this great day with my twin sister visiting!  Woot woot!  I'm so blessed that we can be together this year.  We are partying like a boss.  Okay maybe not like a boss but two middle aged women. LOL

For my card I used the new Hero Arts March card kit.  If the background looks familiar it's the one I made on my Periscope last week with the distress oxide inks.  If you missed the my oxide ink broadcast you can just click the link and you can see how this background came together.

Now what's a birthday without a gift right? Well I'm giving someone a gift for my birthday.  That's right...I'm giving the gift.  LOL  All of my followers are a daily gift to me and I'm so very blessed to have all of you.  I will be hosting this year's giveaway over on my Instagram account mzdanajoy.  I will be giving a $25 gift certificate to Hero Arts.  Head on over to Instagram for your chance to win.

Crafty hugs peeps
